Who Is Eligible?

Applicants for the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Minnesota must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

How do I apply?

Host institutions are limited to submission of a single application per fellowship cycle. An applicant to the Fellowship program must secure institutional endorsement and complete their application in full collaboration with the proposed host institution. Applicants should provide appropriate preliminary documents identified at the Banting website; the University of Minnesota committee will not have access to that site, so you will need to create a PDF with the appropriate materials.

Please submit your application to the Graduate School Fellowship Office. The successful candidate will be notified by mid-September and will work closely with Graduate School staff to submit the completed application by the external deadline in late September.

The deadline to submit your application to the Graduate School Fellowship Office for the 2021 application cycle is September 10, 2021. Please contact the Graduate School Fellowship Office with questions.
