General Information about the GRE

  • GRE tests are administered through the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
  • Plan Ahead! Take the GRE several months before your application deadlines.
  • Scores are valid for 5 years, however some programs may accept unofficial scores that are older.
  • Few programs require a GRE Subject test. Check your program’s requirements.
