Make the most of the postdoc experience.

The Office of Postdoctoral Initiatives (OPI), located within the Graduate School, advocates for postdoctoral fellows and researchers. We collaborate with faculty, administrators and departments across the University to provide the support and resources our postdoctoral scholars need as they prepare for their future careers.

About the Office of Postdoctoral Initiatives

OPI exists to:

  • Change the culture surrounding postdoctoral education at the University through advocacy and policy change
  • Encourage excellence in postdoctoral advising, training, and professional development
  • Prepare the next generation of scholars to be leaders in their respective fields

-Geoffrey Rojas, Past President, UMN Postdoc Association
