About COGS
The Council of Graduate Students (COGS) is the Recognized Student Governance Association (RSGA) at University of Minnesota that represents, advocates for, informs, facilitates communications among, and supports Twin cities graduate students (students who are seeking a research degree: a Ph.D. or a Masters that is associated with a Ph.D. program).
All COGS-fee paying graduate students are members of the COGS General Assembly (GA). Each graduate program can elect one voting GA member amongst all their graduate students, to represent their program.
