If you completed secondary school in the U.S. or in a country from the list below then you satisfy the basic English language proficiency requirements.

Exemption: Bachelor's Degree from the Following Institutions
Applicants holding bachelor’s degrees or higher earned within the last two years from the following institutions will be exempted from English proficiency testing:
- Capetown University (South Africa)
- Concordia University (Quebec, Canada)
- Kwa-Zulu Natal University (South Africa)
- McGill University (Quebec, Canada)
- Rhodes University (South Africa)
- University of Fort Hare (South Africa)
- University of Zululand (South Africa)
