U of M's Paula Baker Appointed as Head of Research Committee

The Graduate School is proud to announce that Paula Baker, Graduate School Admissions Officer, has been appointed to serve as Executive Officer of the NAGAP Research Committee for the 2018-2020 term.

NAGAP, the association for graduate enrollment management, is a professional organization of approximately 1,500 members that is devoted exclusively to the concerns of individuals working in the graduate enrollment management environment.

The Research Committee designs and implements research projects in a continuing effort to provide relevant comparative data on both professionally related activities and national issues that affect graduate school policies and requirements. The results of completed surveys are published and shared with NAGAP members and the broader graduate education community. Survey data also populates the new Graduate Enrollment Management Compensation Analytics Tool (GEMCAT), a searchable database tool for salary comparison. In addition, the committee selects recipients of the NAGAP Graduate Student Research Grant, a national award for graduate students exploring topics specific to graduate education.

Ms. Baker, who has worked with the Graduate School Admissions Office since 2011, is looking forward to being more involved in NAGAP.

"So much great work is being done by graduate students and graduate enrollment management professionals across the country," says Baker. "I'm excited to play a role in supporting them!"

Congratulations, Paula!
