Board to Discuss Graduate and Professional Education
At its October meeting, the University of Minnesota Board of Regents will discuss graduate and professional education, including academic planning for new graduate programs, enrollment management and financing graduate education.
New Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Initiatives
The Graduate School is pleased to welcome Professor Rhonda Jones-Webb to the Graduate School as our new Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Initiatives.
National Research Grant Awarded
Simone Gbolo, a doctoral student in Higher Education at the University of Minnesota, was recently awarded the Graduate Student Enrollment Management Research Grant for her proposal, "Developing Pipelines: Partnerships and Programming to Increase Diversity in Graduate Education" by NAGAP, the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management.
New Associate Dean
After an extensive internal search and series of interviews with an amazing set of finalists, Scott Lanyon, vice provost and dean of graduate education, has appointed Dr. Yoji Shimizu, as the new associate dean for graduate education and director of the Office for Diversity in Graduate Education (ODGE)
