On Wednesday, April 30th, the Graduate School will host our annual Achieve & Uplift, a two-part evening of inspiration and celebration for both graduating and continuing Community of Scholars Program (COSP) Scholars.

We begin Achieve and Uplift with a ceremony that honors our COSP graduates and their remarkable journeys as they recognize the mentors who have supported them in their successes and share their words of wisdom and motivation to COSP Scholars still forging their paths in graduate education. The second half of the program features the COSP Scholar's Walk, a special exhibit, displaying our continuing and graduating COSP Scholars' accomplishments and achievements, followed by cultural performances and a buffet dinner in the COSP Lounge. Let’s reflect, honor, and grow our community together for the future ahead.

Achieve and Uplift is hosted by the Graduate School Diversity Office's Assistant Vice Provost, Cori Bazemore-James. Past speakers have included: University of Minnesota Regent Mike O. Kenyanya, Minnesota Regent Bo Thao-Urabe, and Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Education, Scott Lanyon.

COSP programs, events, and resources are open to all UMN Twin Cities & Duluth domestic graduate students, and center the intersectional experiences of domestic BIPOC students whose identities have been historically excluded in research-based graduate education.
